Dr. Bari Schwartz
Dr. Bari Schwartz, Psy.D. is a compassionate and experienced licensed psychologist and certified school psychologist who specializes in working with children, adolescents, and families. Her practice is rooted in evidence-based care, drawing from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and values-based approaches to help young people build emotional awareness, regulation skills, and a stronger sense of self.
Recognizing the powerful role parents and caregivers play in a child’s development, Dr. Bari integrates parent support and coaching into her work. While trained in a variety of evidence-based models—including Behavioral Parent Training (BPT), Collaborative & Proactive Solutions (CPS), and SPACE—she came to see that no single method fully captured the complexity of parenting in real life.
This led her to develop the Purposeful Parenting™ framework: a connection-first, neuroaffirming approach that blends the structure of traditional behavior models with insights from neuroscience, co-regulation theory, and relationship science. Through this model, Dr. Bari helps families move from reactivity and power struggles to regulation, problem-solving, boundaries, and trust.
Dr. Bari currently serves as the Lower School Co-Head, Clinical at The Quad Preparatory School, a nationally recognized program for twice-exceptional (2e) students—children who are both gifted and have learning, emotional, or behavioral challenges. Her deep experience in this role has shaped her ability to support neurodivergent learners and their families with empathy, creativity, and flexibility.
Whether she’s working with a child or teen one-on-one or guiding a parent through tough moments at home, Dr. Bari brings warmth, clarity, and a strong belief that lasting change happens through connection and understanding.
